Update on Tina

 Just a quick update on Tina. Tina is doing fabulous and has adjusted well to her new parents Jaime and Mark and her new sister Zoe (Shiba).  Below are some pictures that were taken over the summer.

More Little Pidder Padders

Our summer litter has arrived. This past year we had a couple unsuccessful planned litters, so were were quite excited when our Winnie started to show. Winnie was so uncomfortable near the end of her pregnancy as she was huge. She definitely was a trooper! On August 19th, nine puppies were born. Yes, you read that right ... nine. I was in shock as I personally have never heard of a Shiba having nine in one litter. I am sure it happens though.

Winnie did great and most the puppies did awesome the first couple days. Unfortunately two preemies were born and they didn't make it. We tried tube feeding as they didn't latch onto mom and we were very hopeful  the first few days, but it wasn't enough. Rest in peace little ones. ONe the up side, the other seven are chubby little porkers ...  I love it! They are two weeks old tomorrow and are growing like weeds. 

Toys

Every few months I buy a load of dog toys as my Shiba's go threw them fast. This time around I decided to go with KONG toys as they seem to last longer (I bought a few others as well). I was very excited when they finally came in the mail.
