Past Pups Picture Update - Akira, Cola, Yoshi

Update on Archie - past pup

Archie has been with his new family a month now and is doing wonderful. 

Now 3 months old and enjoying the first snow falls. He loves to chase the snow flakes.

What's New

I am so far behind in updating my blog.  With busy kids (both two legged and four legged) and with my computer cooping out recently,  I haven't been spending much time on the net. Thank goodness for my ipod, I am still able to check my emails on the go (I think my computer chair misses me). 

Much has happened in the past two months. We have two new members that joined our pack. Out of Winnie's shockingly large litter, we kept back the darker female. We named her Katherine Kai'ooti ... aka Kitty. We wouldn't have kitty if it wasn't for my shiba breeder friend and mentor Laura. We named her in honor of Laura ... Koyote Kennles (kai'ooti). We also would like to introduce Tomi, our new black and tan boy. Tomi's name is short for Tomohiko ... which means friend in Japanese. He is a Koyote shiba that we co-own. Another thanks to Laura for our newest addition.

We would like to announce our newest litter of Ebony's. Born in late October, she had five beautiful puppies. Congratulations. We are excited to keep back from this litter which was sired by Takeo. For updates on this litter, check out our website and watch them grow.

Update on Tina

 Just a quick update on Tina. Tina is doing fabulous and has adjusted well to her new parents Jaime and Mark and her new sister Zoe (Shiba).  Below are some pictures that were taken over the summer.

More Little Pidder Padders

Our summer litter has arrived. This past year we had a couple unsuccessful planned litters, so were were quite excited when our Winnie started to show. Winnie was so uncomfortable near the end of her pregnancy as she was huge. She definitely was a trooper! On August 19th, nine puppies were born. Yes, you read that right ... nine. I was in shock as I personally have never heard of a Shiba having nine in one litter. I am sure it happens though.

Winnie did great and most the puppies did awesome the first couple days. Unfortunately two preemies were born and they didn't make it. We tried tube feeding as they didn't latch onto mom and we were very hopeful  the first few days, but it wasn't enough. Rest in peace little ones. ONe the up side, the other seven are chubby little porkers ...  I love it! They are two weeks old tomorrow and are growing like weeds. 

Toys

Every few months I buy a load of dog toys as my Shiba's go threw them fast. This time around I decided to go with KONG toys as they seem to last longer (I bought a few others as well). I was very excited when they finally came in the mail.

Update on Bentley - past pups

Bentley turned a year this summer. I always love hearing how our pups are doing in their new families and love watching them grow. I have been able to watch Bent grow into a gorgeous boy and hear he has a great personalty and temperament. Thank you Hilary.

Update on MoneyPenny - past pups

MoneyPenny is a Cincin x Takeo daughter. She turned a year this summer and is doing good with her family in Calgary. 

'She is a very quiet, gentle dog who loves playing with people and other dogs. She is at her best when she is running at the dog park, exploring and enticing other dogs to chase her!'

Update on Ginger - past pup

Quick update on Ginger. She is a Takeo x Mituse daughter that turned a Year this July. She lives with her family in New Brunswick and is doing great!

Update on Macgyver - Past Pup

'Hi Jenn thanks so much for your birthday wishes!!!!
we totally had a birthday party for macgyver he even opened his own presents!! he is so smart!!  we are so happy all three of us together!! We are so impressed with how well he listens and love him sssooo much!! he truly is our best friend!!  He does shed alot though but he is so worth it!!  LOL!'

 Macgyver is a Takeo x Mitsue pup. Pictures below were taken under a year old.

Our Shiba's - Hiro

Our Handsome Hiro has started filling out as he transitions into adulthood. He turned one in April an is absolutely gorgeous: thick slanted ears, dark slanty eyes, nice body structure and rich red coat. I took some recent pictures, but don't mind the coat blowing!

 Hiro is a character. Very playful and outgoing. If he isn't playing with his shiba friends, he is definitley bugging them! Loves his toys, fetch, or even a good petting. Give him something to do and he is one happy Shiba!
